Join Alicia once a month online on Sunday evenings in a practice that is devoted to balancing your nervous system and rejuvenating the body.
BKS Iyengar, credited for founding the practice of restorative yoga, says by removing tension from the inner layers of the nervous system, you convert these layers into a state of freedom. Through the practice, awareness and energy are invested within.
We will use props to support the body in positions so that the body can rest deeply in a relaxed state. Class will consist of gentle rhythmic warm ups, standing forward bends, supported rest positions and guided pranayama (breathwork).
It is ideal for you to have a yoga bolster, a pair of yoga blocks and some blankets for this class. If you do not have a bolster, that’s ok. You can use three bath towels or a firm sofa cushion instead.
