Throughout the program you will write your postpartum menu(s), professional bio, and package descriptions.
Upon completing these requirements and attending all the lectures (or watching the replays), you will earn your NOURISH certificate.
-
Upon successful completion of the NOURISH certification requirements, you will have the postpartum nutrition and business know-how to start (or continue) working with families in a sustainable way.
You will be able to list your certification on your website, be part of the NOURISH WhatsApp group for ongoing community, and be eligible to join Alicia's ongoing Mentorship program.
-
We will meet for 9 Sessions over 9 months for 3 hours.
In addition to the 9 group sessions, you will be invited to join a monthly “office hour” session with Alicia where you can ask questions, bring real time case studies and connect deeper with the community.
-
In an effort to build community (a key ingredient to this work!), we ask that you miss no more than 1 Live session in the program. Of course we understand that life happens and so replays will be available for you in the portal.
-
All payments are non-refundable.
-
A year! So you can relax and take your time with the material.
-
The portal comes with a wealth of suggested reading and Alicia assigns reading and HW after each session.
Homework is a combination of practicing a recipe, writing out a business tool (ie. your bio, packages, menus, etc), reading, and listening to media on the topic of each lecture.
-
Some start cooking for families during the training, some use it to supplement their doula or chef-work, inform their perinatal care work, or simply in their own life. Sky is the limit!
-
That depends on a few factors: where you live, what your background is, and what your personal capacity is. That said, this is a specialized and unique field and Alicia encourages her students to set rates that are sustainable. Consider charging at least 15% more than you would as a postpartum doula or private chef in your area.
-
Each Saturday session is a combination of community building, homework review and lecture on postpartum nutrition, business know-how, and self-care.
-
All homework is OPTIONAL! But Alicia gives assignments each month to help you be prepared to launch or expland your business by the end of the training.
-
While we will talk about chef skills during the program, you will not be cooking recipes live with the group. Instead, you will be assigned monthly recipes to practice cooking in bulk so you can build your menu and gain confidence in the kitchen throughout the program.
